- Your full legal name.
- The mobile phone number registered with us.
- Your national identification number (NIDA) if you have an account with us.
- A clear statement of what you would like deleted (for example, all data, or only WhatsApp communication data).

What We Will Delete
Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will delete the following categories of data, where they are not subject to a legal retention obligation:
- Marketing preferences and marketing communication history.
- WhatsApp message logs that are not required for dispute resolution or regulatory compliance.
- Website and mobile application usage data linked to your identity.
- Any other personal data for which we have no remaining legal basis to hold.
What We Are Required to Keep
As a regulated microfinance institution licensed by the Bank of Tanzania, we are legally required to retain certain records for a minimum period, even after you request deletion. These include:
- Customer identification records and transaction history, retained for a minimum of seven (7) years after account closure under anti-money laundering law and Bank of Tanzania prudential requirements.
- Loan agreements and related documentation, retained for the period prescribed by applicable financial regulations.
- Records required for tax purposes by the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
- Records required for ongoing legal proceedings or regulatory investigations.
Where data must be retained under these obligations, we will restrict its use to the purpose for which retention is required and will delete it as soon as the retention period expires.
Timeline for Processing Your Request
We will acknowledge your request within seven (7) business days of receipt and will complete the deletion (of all data not subject to retention obligations) within thirty (30) calendar days, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022. If your request is complex or affects records held by multiple systems, we may extend this period and will notify you in writing of the extension and the reasons for it.
Withdrawing Consent for WhatsApp Communication
If you only wish to stop receiving WhatsApp communications from us but do not want to delete your account, you may simply reply with the word STOP to any of our WhatsApp messages, or contact us through the channels above. We will remove you from our WhatsApp messaging list within seven (7) business days.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your deletion request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania.
